Volunteering at The Well Outreach

The Well Outreach has a steady need for volunteers of all ages to support us as we feed the hungry each week. We have a wonderful balance of ages and backgrounds among our volunteers, and we are blessed by our fun and engaging community every day. Joining this volunteer team has never been easier, whether you are interested in becoming a core volunteer, bringing a team from church or work, or knocking out some community service hours. We have something for everyone, and we are so thankful for your interest.

Volunteer Orientations

While our volunteer orientations are not mandatory, we strongly recommend first time volunteers attend one of our bi-weekly orientations so you can more fully understand the story of hunger in our community. This 40 minute orientation will educate you on local hunger issues, clarify our programs and opportunities, and guide you into a volunteer role. Volunteering as a Team

Scheduling a team of volunteers is something we are thrilled to offer our churches, businesses and community groups. To accommodate your unique needs, and to help find the right opportunity for you, we want to direct our team volunteering to a quick google form that will help us move you into the right opportunity. After filling this form out, you will hear from our Teams Director within two business days to coordinate scheduling. 
If you’ve volunteered as a team at The Well before you can head directly to our volunteer site and pick a date and opportunity for your next team experience. For questions about Team Volunteering please reach out to John Sage at sage@thewelloutreach.org.

Community Service Volunteering

The Well is more than happy to provide volunteer opportunities to individuals who are in need of community service hours. For scheduling community service, please use the link below to find opportunities that best fit your schedule. If you are in need of additional assistance with scheduling community service, please reach out to our Director of Volunteers, sage@thewelloutreach.org. 

Please be aware that you must be responsible for tracking your volunteer hours and requesting signatures as needed. We do have a standard community service form that you can use upon request.

PLEASE NOTE: To receive credit for community service hours, it is required to attend one of our weekly Well Tours, which are Wednesdays at 2:30 or 5 PM (Spring Hill Facility) or Wednesdays at 2:30 (Mt. Pleasant Facility). You can sign up for this Well Tour and volunteer opportunities via the provided link below.
