Food Drives and Donations

Direct gifts of food from within our community

Food Drives

Our pantry thrives on food drives!  Many organizations and individuals structure food drives for us.  Some collect non-perishable foods while others collect money that allows us to purchase food from Second Harvest Food Bank at a greatly reduced price.

Frequently asked questions

Any food that is contributed is helpful to us, but time has taught us what our guests need most. In light of that, we have compiled a list of food items that are most impactful.

From the moment you complete our online Food Drive Schedule form, we will accompany you in your efforts to gather food for us!  The Well Outreach will:

  1. Communicate with you throughout the timeline of your food drive.
  2. Provide donation boxes for you.
  3. Optionally pick up your collected food at the conclusion of your drive.

The Well Outreach is happy to provide you with our branded food donation boxes.  In fact, we’re hoping you’ll use them!

You can pick up boxes at either pantry location Monday-Friday from 9-4PM or on Saturdays from 10-2PM.

For smaller food drives we request that you pickup the boxes and drop off the food if at all possible. If you collect more than you can transport however, we will do everything we can to assist you in picking up the food.

For larger food drives we would request that you let us know the pickup time and location as early as possible and we will try to schedule a pickup in advance. You can provide that information in the Schedule a Food Drive form. To help with pick up, we ask that you collect donations in Well Outreach boxes in close proximity to a double door exit such that we can use a pallet jack to expedite the process.

We are grateful for all types of food that are personally dropped off inside our food pantries.  However, we cannot accept refrigerated or perishable items in our outside drop boxes.

The Well Outreach is a food ministry, so we do not accept other types of donated items.  If you are curious about an item that you think we may be able to accept, please reach out to us via our Connect With Us page.
